Centennial Park

Located at 2200 South Friendswood Drive, this new addition to the Friendswood community includes two picnic pavilions, 3/4 mile hiking/jogging trail, playground, concessions, restrooms, two lighted multi-purpose fields, lighted football field, two new soccer fields, and additional parking for over 200 vehicles.

Evelyn B. Newman Amphitheater

Located in Centennial Park, this facility provides space for fine arts productions, community events, special events and private rentals.

Old City Park

Located at 300 Biarmadow near Winding Way, these facilities include picnic tables, barbecue pits, playground equipment, and nature trails. A large riding arena with bleachers, concession stand and announcers booth host local horse shows and riding events. Approximately six acres of parkland allow for parking or trucks, trailers and cars.

Leavesley Park

Located at 901 Buckingham in Regency Estates, this facility is available for small and large social events, private parties, and many other activities. Facilities include rest rooms, kitchen tables, chairs, and a large inside open area.

Renwick Sports Complex

Located at 205 Stadium Drive behind Westwood Elementary School, this facility contains 19 acres of baseball, softball and soccer fields that are used for various youth and adult sports leagues.

Stevenson Park

Located at 1100 South Friendswood Drive (FM 518), this beautiful park can be enjoyed by the entire family. Facilities include playground area, picnic tables, four lighted tennis courts, and rest rooms. This is also the site for Concerts in the Park. Additionally, the park contains –

• Friendswood Sesquicentennial Pool – can be reserved for pool parties.
• Covered Gazebo – this covered and lighted area can be reserved for wedding ceremonies, etc.
• Pavilion – this covered and lighted area can be reserved for reunions, company parties, etc.

1776 Memorial Park

Located in Imperial Estates off FM 2351, this nature park has 12.6 acres of wooded area running along the banks of Clear Creek. This park is ideal for bird watching and nature study.

Friendswood Sports Park

Located off FM 528 and Moore Road (2910 W. Parkwood), this 27-acre multi-purpose sports park contains four lighted softball fields, three lighted soccer fields, a concession stand, and restrooms. This beautiful facility accommodates girl’s softball, adult softball leagues, and youth soccer.

Activity Building

Located at 416 Morningside, the Activity Building houses the Friendswood Senior Citizens Program, and provides fitness classes, and meeting room space.

Climate

In the heart of the sunbelt, Friendswood enjoys a subtropical climate where outdoor sports are practiced year-round and the growing season extends well into November.
